WHAT A BUILD!!!! sorry i missed it ching my hats off to you sir! thanks for everything you have shared. your time and attention to detail and percision is well noted. a dream 99% of us would all want to come true im sure. a page or perhaps a book titled REEF GODS!

Hi chingchai

I observe your threat from begging and I am impressed by your achievement.

Before more than year I spent my vacations by diving in your beautiful country. I am thinking to repeat that and I hope then I have one day time to stop over you and bring you bottle of good wine :p

Still I hope those "problems" which you have now in Bangkok will be solved in rightful way for all you Thai people not only those which sit in government and grab money from others poor people.

Regarding those demonstrations I hear in news that authority switch off electricity in some pats of city?
I hope this is not in your area and your tank will survive those times without any electricity interruptions or shocks?

Keep with good work ! We all cross fingers for you and for your courage to maintain this huge and marvelous system!

very sorry to hear about the achilles, i dont have the guts to have more than 1 in my aquarium, main reason is that in the wild they usually only form schools temporarily to invade Damsel fish territories to eat the algae. The only way you may be succesful with more than one is if pairs form but they arent like zebrasoma tangs which can sometimes like yellow tangs be kept in groups

hi ching chai what is mixing tank ,what do u put in it .i means do u mixed all salt and calcium in it and than to the main tank?sorry to asked stupid question but i am very interested to learn your way..by the way how do u change water??

hey chingchai ... sorry to hear about the Achilles Tang loss and hopefully the Mystery Wrasse would re-appear :hmm2:.

Sorry to hear about the achilles. As mentioned much earlier, these fish are VERY aggressive, even in large tanks. Hopefully, the remaining two wont now continue this trend. In light of this, adding any more achlles would certianly not be a good idea, IMHO.

ching - how's your chaeto growing? do you feel the refugium is performing it's function? i know you ran caulerpa before. are you happy with the new one?

+1
I'm trying to think of people who have kept 3+ non-zebrasoma/hippo tangs of the same species in one tank and all I can think of are public aquarium sized ones.

Hi Chingchai,

I have the same chiller as yours, after you told me where to get it from- thanks!. Mine heats and chills, but I don't have instructions for setting the temperature. Can you help me on how to set the temperatures please?. I did try, but although the chiller comes on, it doesn't switch off, so I think I have something wrong on the settings.

PM is fine.

Thanks for your help.

Jesse. Thank you for your kind words.
In this hobby, it is still a long long way to go.

Chingchai,
Sorry to hear about the bad news with one of your Achilles tangs. I love that fish its the reason ill be upgrading to a 300 plus tank within the next year just to be able to try and keep one.
Great build once again!

Dejan. Thank you for your comment.
Hope you will come back to Thailand soon. And maybe we can meet if you have time.
I am so lucky that no electricity shutdown in my area.

Cheers,

Mixing tank is my new saltwater reservoir.
I mix ro/di water with Reef Crystal salt.

When I change water:
I have a pump in my sump to drain out old water and a pump from mixing tank to fill up new water into the sump.
It takes about thirty minutes for this procedure.
