Hi,

The tank is 20 minutes drive from Chatuchak market.

For the Ozone reactor,
They are not available online but I can buy it for you.
Just let me know your tank size so he can select the proper one for you.

I can go to Chatuchak to meet you. Don't worry.

Ching
Thanks Ching really appreciated it.Will have to discuss a whole lot of stuff with you about maintaing tanks :D and also see you great tank.

Another question for you, I noticed in your previous tank and this new one your returns come in over the top of the glass. Is there a particular reason you don't have holes drilled for the returns to make them less conspicuous?

Reason I ask is that I'd like to do a similar setup for a small nano I'm working on that I'd rather not waste space with a traditional overflow style setup but I figured I'd have a hole drilled for the return as well. However, if there is some reason escaping my why that wouldn't work I'll obviously need to know. :D

Thanks!
Nick

Oh! Also, is there some formula you use to determine how far down the drainage holes are positioned? Or is it just a sump capacity sorta deal?

The reason that my returns are always on top because I hate drilling hole on my tank panel.
No formula for the distant of the drainage holes.
I just have a very good and well-experienced consultant on this case.

Sorry, I hope not.:p
You'd better go to the southern part of Thailand.
I guarantee you'll love it.

I believe Mcliffy2 shared pics of his diving trip there from last year. The water and wildlife looked amazing. I hope my next vacation will be Thailand.

Hi Ching an amazing build, some questions on that ozone reactor where does the ozone go in ? at the top does it exit out the middle? through the other little chamber?

Also i assume the water trickles in from the top and exits at the bottom? what flow rate is recommended in that reactor?

I have the same ozonizer as you but i run it in a cheap red sea protein skimmer and am considering the reactor option, obviously i assume all those blue fittings are ozone resistant as it degrades many plastics literally melting them over time

One more question about your drain to the sump if you don't mind. I noticed in your old tank and this new one that the water line is kept above the level of the drains.

How is this done? Do you match the output of the pump to the capacity of the drains perfectly or some such? In a typical overflow system the water level in the display is regulated by the height of the overflow box. I'm sure whatever I'm missing must be obvious...

kinlayan. Thanks.

You are correct. Ozone in at the top and out in the middle of the little chamber.
Flow rate for reactor is 2,000-2,500 l/h.
Those blue fittings are ozone resistant.

really like the equipement. How much of a wave to you inticipating in being able to create with the tunzes. Awesome build!!

You mean "anticipating". Right?
With 6 units of Tunze 6205 (Flow rate: 5,000 to 22,000 l/h (1,320 to 5,811 USgal./h))
and 6 units of Tunze 6305 (Flow rate: 9,000 to 30,000 l/h (2,377 to 7,925 USgal./h))

It must be pretty much of a wave in the tank.
More or less is also depending on how I adjust the wave controller.

You are right. The water line is above the level of the drain but not much.
I always choose over-spec return pump to control the water level in the tank. That's it.

Wouldn't that flood the display or empty the pump container in the sump if the pump is constantly pushing more than the drains can handle?

Someone might asked before. How much would be the total cost just for the tank and equipments? I noticed that every piece I see here is the top of line product in the market.

No, it wouldn't.
Red Dragon pump features speed adjustable function mode.

Cost of the tank is US$24k.
But total cost of equipments is something I don't want to calculate. Sorry.:crazy1:
