I have heard from others that it looks alot like a beckett injector, but never seen a picture to confirm. The thing is, some sort of venturi is no more 'plankton-friendly' than a regular beckett here in the US... so I find it hard to believe. Also, I have referenced info from Sprung & Delbeek where they show that little to none of the phyto that naturally exists in a closed system/aquarium is actually in the water column like in nature... so the skimmer sounds like alot of hype and false claims to me. And in the end, using a venturi mechanism on a pump means 'lots-o-watts' being used by whatever pump is feeding it, and without as much air intake.

I can understand your scepticism but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. :) I can hardly beleive that a serious and inovating company as Korallen Zucht would make bogus claims.
Plankton friendly or not, element sparing or not I see that it sucks out a whole lot of scum, much more then my former skimmer. This I know for sure ! ;)

The new skimmer is still performing very well. No increased PE on SPS for now but richer colour.

I have been pulling out some live rock that was piled up against one of the side walls to improve water movement.
I was shoked to see how much dirt had accumulated under the rocks !

The cyano I had is rapidly disappearing.

Ja, Jan Willem,

Erg strak, leuk om je hier ook te treffen.
Ziet er nogmaals erg strak uit, vind de foto's ook beter als dan op het Nederlandse forum.

Groetz,
Rob

I have started dosing living Phyto and brine shrimp in addition to the cyclop eeze and the oyster eggs.

I also added 3 Tunze ( 12000 l/h ). The only downside is that my sand will not stay in place in certain areas.

The monti that was badly infested with nudibranches is recovering very well. The coral banded shrimps keep it nice and clean.

Incredible tank!

What's your lighting schedule?

Thanks !

Lights go on at 10:00 and slowly increase to 100 % in two hours.
At 22:00 the lights dim in two hours to dark.

Hi Tom, thank you !

You are more then welcome to come and see the tank when you are in Amsterdam ! Just send me the dates you need accomodation and I will check if we have a room available.

the reason I changed is because (This being my belief) That my BK 250 was WAY WAY too big for my 120g which after LR and stuff is only 100g system. So it wasnt performing like it did on my old tank which was alot bigger. So I decided to try the KZ since I was one of the original zeo users when it first came out. I knew there products worked well so I figured there skimmer must be very good and it is
