dvanacker's 200g SPS tank......

and finally the new FTS

And that is the goal of every reef/sps tank. The beauty, majesty, design, size of colonies, varieties of color and form, vision--everyone's objective but so few have rarely achieved this. It is certainly my inspiration

I actually modded an old PM marine fluidized reactor so nothing special here.

I finally had some time and innitiative to clean the tank and took some new pictures.... most of these are still frags, small colonies but up and comers in my tank.

FTS to come.....
What an assortment of beauties!

Just wondering - where do you get your gem frags from?

Fantastic as usual..
How about 'ember eyes' for the no name..
Absolutely love that one..
Superman and northern delight are also awesome...
They are all amazing!
ember eyes. I like it. Thanks!

Hey Darryl, thanks for the update pics, I always look forward to pictures of your tank.---Rick

Wow. Just amazing.

Your tank is stuffed full of eye candy SPS. You must post photos of at least 25% of your SPS corals.

Awesome Darryl!

I need to get my hands on that pc superman.
Thanks guys ! cheers

That banana berry smoothie looks delicious! any thoughts on what species it is?
thanks. I think its pretty cool and original but I have no idea what species it is, sorry.

amazing tank!!
thank you for the update!
your coral team is awesome!

Amazing tank

Darryl,
Looking awesome as usual, you have some nice looking colonies of some of those high $ sps corals, great job getting them to maturity, absolutely stunning colors, again nicely done!

Thanks. Wow that is some amazing feedback. This forum and the people in it are largely responsible for the knowledge, friendship, ambition etc to keep me going. With out the internet and people to share experience I think we as SPS keepers would be lost.

Damn fine as always!!! :)

Those corals are just dirrrrrrty!
thanks guys. Did you go to fragfest Mike? Hope both you guys can make the next one in TO.

What an assortment of beauties!

Just wondering - where do you get your gem frags from?
thanks. Its a combination of everywhere and anywhere. Collection takes years, some of my sps are 6 or 7yrs old, and really continues if I see something that sparks my interest. I have purchased frags from hobbyist and stores all over. I do have a usual preference for tank raised frags but have been known to try the odd wild and maricultured as well.

Good Work! Thanks for the update.
Your welcome......thanks for looking and posting. :spin3:

Waaaaaay too long...
I need a fix...
The fans demand an update :)
I think you'll have to start naming all of your specimens when you shoot them.
It's the only way I can be sure I know what I am dreaming about!

That FTS is inspiring and motivating, congrats on such success... May I ask what was the type and colors of lighting on at the time of the FTS photograph?

Thanks!

I wouldn't say no to having that display in my lounge room......... lol - the FTS is beautiful but those individual coral shots are too pretty for words.
Do you have a favorite coral, not just from a color aspect but one that maybe has taken a long time to grow or is very touchy, has a particular growth pattern etc. that makes it a little bit more important to you. I find that beautiful and annoyingly touchy and hard to keep acros that drive you nuts always remind me of my ex wife - a painfully slow case of STN was that 'colony' :p

Thanks again everyone.

Some more photos for the bros.

The first one is a new one I have been growing for over a year (from frag).

Introducing KUSHBERRY (just named it myself)
