Thanks again my RC family...you are all too kind. I really appreciate all the nice comments but remember that anyone can achieve the success they want in this hobby if they put in the time, work research and follow the right advice. It can be a bumpy ride buts its possible and no magic pills or potions are needed.
I did post a picture of my small sps frag tank a ways back. Maybe next update I will do another.
The original monti frag was placed on a 4" tile, so that explains the square shape. Encrusting monti can be quite aggressive so you have to be careful where you mount them.

Thanks everyone. Glaukos - the sand is a mix. I have about 1-2" of sugar on the bottom and 1-2" of reef floor special grade on the top with a bag of crushed coral in the super high flow areas.
....I had a few minutes to whip the camera out last tonight.

I have been looking at the JOL also,...how long have you had it? has it grown much? do you need to keep separation between it and other corals?

Hey Rick. I've had it less than a year and it was probably less than half that size at the time. Its not a bad grower but not as fast as encrusting montipora for sure. You dont have to worry about the JOL's sweepers as they are pretty tiny. I would be worried about it getting stung if put to close to some other LPS though.Hey Darryl,...Always glad to see your name popup on my subscribe screen!

Darryl, first I have to apologize for not taking the time sooner to read your thread and follow this amazing tank. Second, wow what an amazing system you have!!!!!! I am in between tanks right now because of a move so I am in the planning stages of my next tank. I spent a lot of money on leds for my last tank and I am thinking about going back to MH for the new tank. I dont remember seeing it anywhere in the thread but can you tell me what reflectors, bulbs and ballasts you are using?
