Darryl, first I have to apologize for not taking the time sooner to read your thread and follow this amazing tank. Second, wow what an amazing system you have!!!!!! I am in between tanks right now because of a move so I am in the planning stages of my next tank. I spent a lot of money on leds for my last tank and I am thinking about going back to MH for the new tank. I dont remember seeing it anywhere in the thread but can you tell me what reflectors, bulbs and ballasts you are using?

I'm running 2 x 400watt XM 20k SE bulbs in Lumenarc III reflectors on M59 magnetic balasts. I also run 2 x 110watt UVL superactinic VHO bulbs and 20 x cree royal blue LED for the actinic period.


Snaped the first picture of my greg hiller aquadelight. I've had this beauty since it was a single 1" branch (if that).

thanks. I had to go back into my emails to see... I got it in Jan 2012 so just over a year and half to like mariculture size. It was a tiny single branch though.

Sure.... 13hrs on my actinic period which includes the royal blue led and VHO super actinic.

Who's Greg hiller?

Thanks. Greg Hiller is just an old time reefer who had/has some nice corals. He still has a website but its not very up to date. Im not even sure he is in the hobby anymore. http://www.greghiller.com/ You could also do a search in the SPS forums here for aquadelight and find more about this coral I imagine.

Thanks a lot....that is a big compliment. I use bulb GFO from BRS and ROX carbon also from BRS. I only use about 1.5cups GFO and 2 cups GAC and change out every few months.

Looks similar to your Northern Delight... at least the tip colour anyway... is that sort of where you got the name from?

Ya actually. My northern delight is a bit different but they definitely have some similarities so I just changed the name a bit.

Nice shot of the nasuta. Very nice indeed.....
The ember eyes and the BBS have a very similar structure to them.
Totally different look but it's amazing how similar they look in skeletal structure..
