Dwarf Pipefish in a 8 gallon Bio-Cube reef?

Reef keeper
I found a site that sells Dwarf Pipefish and was wondering if I can put 1-a few in a 8 gallon Bio-Cube reef tank that was set up for 2-2.5 years now. I've never kept Pipefish or Seahorses before. Sooo, I need all the help I can get. What do they eat? Can they eat frozen mysis or krill? What kind of corals are safe with Pipefish? Are anemones and bubble corals safe with Pipefish? What kind of temps do they like? Will 79F-83F work for a Dwarf Pipefish? The Dwarf Pipefish species is Cosmocampus hildebrandi.
Thanks in advance!

C. hildebrandi (the dwarf pugnosed pipefish) hail from the western Atlantic, typically off the eastern coast of FL, so a cooler tank (<76*F) would be beneficial for them.

small setups are fine (they max out at about 4"), but they would really do best in a tank planted with macro (esp. C. prolifera to resemble a grassbed) rather than a reef setup. i would NOT keep them with bubbles or 'nems...they'll end up being food.

unless the seller is training them to frozen mysis (H2O mini mysis is a great choice for these fish), you may need to provide them with either BBS or copepods.

they're not colorful, but are really cool little fish.

How many Cosmocampus hildebrandi can I put in the 8 gallon Bio-Cube? The only corals that are in there are kenya trees, brown button palys, and some zoas. I will be adding lots of plants tho.

plan on hatching daily, 2 tsp per culture. it's best to decap the cysts. you can use "plain" (non-iodized) salt for cultures...saves a lot of money.

i dunno how many tsp. in 60 grams, so you'll need to figure that one out on your own.
