I am wanting to get into keeping sps.I have a 75 gallon rimless with 2 250 phoenix 14k bulbs. They are hung 10'' above the water.I have purple monti cap thats doing great, just want to try some branching acros that are fairly easy. Thanks

Montipora digitata is a fast growing, branching, easy for sps coral available if a number of colors.

Those are all great suggestions assuming you have a calcium reactor or a solid dosing schedule. Keep that in mind when getting into SPS. They really need the Magnesium, Calcium and Alkalinity.

Mg somewhere around 1200ish
Ca somewhere around 400-450
Alk somewhere around 9-11

If you are not there, SPS will probably not do very well.

+1 to the above post, make sure your chemistry is in line before jumping into sps. If you don't have a lot of them, your water changes may be good enough to keep up for now. Just keep an eye on your parameters.

As far as acros, I've found the green slimer, tricolor valida, and most millies to be pretty easy. Most montiporas are forgiving as well, including digitatas, caps, stellata etc. Birdsnests are easy and I've found pocillopora to be a good one as well.
