The invasive lionfish that crowds coral reefs and preys on native fish in the Atlantic's shallower waters is such a problem that divers in Florida and the Caribbean are encouraged to capture and eat them whenever they can.

Did a week long dive trip to the Cayman Islands. We did some spearing of lionfish. The staff on the dive boat made some great lionfish ceviche during the week. Could not be fresher! Had to go after the larger ones, by the time you clean the smaller ones they did not have much meat. But the bigger ones were great eating.
