Ebay Seller Using MY Pic!

out of curiosity, what do these purple hornets look like? are they the ones in your avatar picture pufferpunk? i guess i could search for them on ebay...

Keys, those be Purple Deaths , they are protopalythoa's. Fast growers, readily feeds and don't like too much light. Grows from dime size to Nickle ( sometimes slightly bigger. )

Like these.

Did you confront the chic? Maybe you can get a couple PH's from her since you had an issue with your. Take it as compensation for using your pics.

But it would be hard to believe those are really PH she has. She seems really ****ed at this point... did you read what she added to her sale?

:lolspin:

That's all I can say. I just wonder how much mail she got from people complaining or telling her about what said on RC. HMMM. maybe that person BE here on RC as well HMMMMM. I have no problem with it, It be nice those if credit was given to you. Thats' all I care about.

I asker her for a few. This all actually started at another forum, where a fellow posted the pic of some PH he just won on Ebay & it was my pic! I was pretty shocked, to say the least... Then I see she posted what lighting they were under...

I believe she is refering to the thread from another forum, where a guy stated he just won some PH from her & posted my pic.

Seriously, which won of you folks here is bothering the poor girl. She's just a squirrel trying to get a nut. We are a capitalist nation, she just made the wrong decision and didn't give Puff credit she deserved. ( Don't know if this should be sarcastic or serious LOL )

LOL...she probably got swarmed with people asking if they're the real deal and want pictures.

Hell....they just might be the Purple Hearted zoas she purchased for $9.99 :)

Plus reading her feedback...she ships in a wet paper towel inside an express envelope and charges $30-40 for shipping and mandatory $10-20 for insurance required. Totally inflated prices there.

No heat pack, no box with insulation, and no protection from being crushed??

Come on now. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its gotta be a duck.

I like how she changed her lighting for the same exact picture she stole...this was a previous auction using the same PP's picture.

"THESE PICTURES ARE TAKEN UNDER 4 250 WATT MH

2 65 WATT 50/50 BULBS

AND 2 24 WATT T5 HO BULBS

PICTURES ARE FOR EXAMPLE ONLY POLYPS MAY BE ON A ROCK OR A PLUG OR DISK.

BUT WILL BE GORGEOUS

LOOKS COULD VARY UNDER DIFFERENT LIGHTS

YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT WHEN BUYING!!
"

PLEASE tell me you reported her to ebay!

I might be understanding if she had not tried to pass the picture off as her own and claimed the light that the pic was taken under. It is refreshing to see someone held accountable for fraud and thief on intellectual property.

BTW, these are on my top 10 wanted list. Do they grow fast? *EDITED*~dc

I saw that when i went on ebay and the price sounded too good to be true. I went on this thread a bit earlier today and I thought it sounded like this and it was. Also her description didnt sound like the pic. The seller is also selling some more zoanthids.

I traced back the Ebay item # of my sale, if you want to check the date of when I was offering those up for sale: 220342594664. I asked her if she wanted to offer me a frag of her "hornets" to me for all the $$$ she made with my pic & she never wrote back, so I have reported her to Ebay. It states in the selling rules you may not use a copy of a picture without permission.

I started with 5 polyps, within 6 weeks, they grew to 11. Started fragging some off, 2 at a time, for really cool trades only. I tried to sell some on Ebay but that wasn't working as well as I had hoped (too much comeptition at the time, I think). I was left with 5 polyps after fragging off 3 pairs & figured I'd leave them to grow out. While I was on vacation, they were under some new MH lights & bleached a bit, so I moved them to my frag rack in the DT. I guess they got a bit too much flow, because they blew off their plug! :( I still have 2 polyps that are struggling to open, after they almost blew off too & had to be reglued. And that's the story of my Purple Hornets.

BTW, I DO HAVE LINEAGE ON THEM! That seller didn't even know what lineage meant. Yes, I know only serious collectors care but it really does help with trading with those sorts.

I've got this first pass ready puffy, what do you think? I've got a new version of paintshop installed and I can't find the "make it less opaque, and more transparent" area. Apparently it's not in the same place it was on the older paintshop version which is what I've used for a long time. But until i can find it, here's one with the more opaque font.
