EcoSmart Live Comprehensive Update (BETA)

I just want to make sure that I have this correct in my head...

I can not add my vortech to the beta without a reeflink..Even if I have the MP10W?

What makes you think the Reeflink is going to go down to $100? There is a promotion right now to get it for $99 when you buy a Radion or Vortech. I don't see it being discounted otherwise anytime soon.

I had the same type of issues with my vortechs getting connected. In order to slove the problem i did this recipe:
1) Log out of ESL
2) turn off the reeflink by removing the power
3) turn on the reeflink
4) turn off all radions and all vortechs and remove from power
5) sign into ecosmart live
6) take one vortech individually power it on and then do a reset on the vortech ( hold mode and set after it turned on until flashing red white and blue then hold mode till red and purple, then hold set and the vortech will reset)
7) do this for all your vortechs, then remove the power from all of them again with the radions still off
8) now do the update firmware again per each individual vortech and after each one is complete and ESL prompts you do upgrade another vortech say no.
9) Then go to add devices via wireless, add the vortech you just updated ( so the power must stay on after the firmware update) rename the pump so you know hwich one is which.
10) repeat steps 8) and 9) for each for vortech making sure to turn them off after you place them in your ESL aquarium
11) It is a long process, but this is how i got it to work

Agreed. I can dream with a lot of other people that bought right before the promotion hit.
 
The EcoSmart update fixed my blank page issue.
I managed to really screw things up, but I deleted all of my tanks and reflashed the pump that was giving me issues and now everything seems to be working.

Now if only I could figure out why I need to power cycle the reeflink everyday I would be set.

We are pleased to hear that your profile is now working properly. We are currently looking into why ReefLinks have been having trouble staying connected consistently.
 
Just to let you know when I logged onto ESL last night, I received a message, stating that my Reeflink was disconnected, even though it was connected.

After I performed a power cycle of my Reeflink, I was able to log on and the connection was successful.

On a positive note, when I selected devices within ESL, my two Vortech pumps are now recongized, where before they were not.

Last little issue, when I tried to change the time period for both my pumps with my NTM mode, the schedule automatically snapped back to the original time frame I previously setup. Also the blue program box under the mode selection area is now missing.

All is all, it seems like the ESL program is more stable then before.

To all the staff at Ecotech Marine, thanks so much for all your efforts and help,

I have also been having problem with my reeflink saying it is offline even though it was online and connected to the network. I rebooted it a few times and got it back online but this isn't the first time that it has happened.

I think this is a ongoing problem, which the Ecotech software engineers are probably working right now.

EcoSmart Live Beta Update

We just updated the EcoSmart Live Beta site with defect fixes and improvements based on your feedback. So again, thank you all for your patience and feedback during our public beta. Here is a short list of the updates:

- Improved adding and adjusting VorTech modes on the VorTech schedule
- Updated the Aquarium Layout to show appropriate device icons and improved usability
- Updated the look-and-feel of each device item in the Device Manager
- Added support for the Radion XR15w G3 Pro (mobile app coming very soon)
- Fixed defects with the Aquarium Layout
- General defect fixes and performance improvements

We will be ending the EcoSmart Live Beta period early next week. At that point we will be updating all of EcoSmart Live to use the new design and VorTech integration. Please keep the feedback coming if you have it. We appreciate all of your patience and feedback during our beta period.

I have a question about the website. Nothing happens when I click on feed mode on the ecosmart live site. Should I see something happen on the screen when I click feed mode? I've noticed the same thing when I click on the feed mode button on the iPad app. I touch the button and I don't see anything confirming the action.

When you select feed mode within the ESL website, the dials on your controllers will flash white until the cycle is complete.

Note...Once ESL is out of beta testing, the programmers may add and give us some type of notification once we select the feed mode?

So there is no need for SSL with the ESL site? I would reccomend adding it to the website since even if it is not needed it will still give us users the peace of mind that our usernames and passwords are not being transported via clear text.
