Ecotech Coral Elements

So for the last few years I have been using dollar store cyanoacrylate gel. it works, but the constantly opening little tubes and the last batch being crap has me looking at other options. I know Ecotech CE is a bit pricey, but I was interested in its performance, does it setup better, and is does the bottle last (once cyanoacrylate comes in contact with moisture it initiates polymerization)

Although they're a little pricey I like the gel tubes Randy sells at ARC mainly because they re-seal so damned well. Sure the tube may be 7 bucks, but I've gotten a few dozen uses out of it and each time I open the cap it squeezes right out. They're like maroonish in color and say ICE on the side. No idea the actual brand but they make for less-frequent trips to the dollar store that's for sure. If you want the watery stuff, I find some of the stuff sold at the Niagara Hobby shop on Union to work well too. Again, a little costly up-front, but they re-seal phenomenally.

And a quick edit, if you leave them in the fridge, they're less likely to set-up as the air is so dry in there.

IC gel. That's the same stuff that I use. I love it. I like it more than the gel from BRS and much more than the $ store superglue gel. I have a hard time getting more than one use out of the $ store stuff.

I've gotten IC Gel online for $5/tube in bulk. I'm due to order more. Let me know if anyone in Buffalo wants to go in on some.

IC gel? any more info? I was thinking of taking a drive to BRS and picking up their stuff.

I thought that the BRS stuff was OK, but the gel would harden before I could use all of it.

IC Gel cures quickly and I've managed to apply it under water without it locking up the tube a number of times. I almost always use the entire tube without it drying out.

This is what it looks like. I've seen better prices for it on hobby sites.

The ecotech coral glue is the best stuff ever. It work perfect everytime. Ive used it for a year now and still have the same bottle. As far is it not being thick thats crap.... Get some on your hand and you will think otherwise. Small amount goes along way. Im forever hooked on this product.

I'm still good with the loctite I seem to slip in the cart at wegs during grocery shopping. Coincidently the same thing I buy at home depot with the epoxy stick
