Yeah they do have personalities.... already 2 of them shred their shell :D

How many did you put in there? Have you any experience putting them in with other shrimp, like a fire shrimp or a coral banded?

I had one of the skunk cleaners with my fire shrimp for about a year before a mysterious disappearance of the skunk.

Ed,
I love those little starfish my red one accidentally got into my vortech one day so he was a little mangled last time i saw him not sure if he is gonna pull through.

Never tried with fire shrimp (those guys are too aggressive for my liking) but in the past have tried with coral banded and they get along fine.

He will make it...I've seen starfish loosing 2-3 legs and they regrow back as if nothing has happen. As long as the main core (center) is intact, they should be fine.

I GOT CLAMS…..

I GOT CLAMS…..

Looks familiar??

YES â€"œ I bought this back from the local reefer that bought my old tank…. (the 2 above was mine before and the bottom one is new)

He was not too keen on clams as he added a couple more angels and butterflies in there and is worried about the angels starting to take a liking to his clams….!!

Well….. I told him it’s wise not to keep clams as he is into angels and butterflies….

In fact, I told him not wise to keep SPS as well….. so he is thinking about selling it back to me for CHEAP!!

:D

Hi Ed.
Don´t you get concerned about getting your old clams back after that incident with the other clam you had?
Have you any idea of what happened before? what kind of disease was that?
I´m looking foward to see you new tank with all the SPS you used to have previously, it should be interesting to see the growth of SPS in you shallower tank, especially from above.
Best wishes!

Coralline algea look good on the second clams.

Agree - also got some nasty HA growing on the shell, which I tried to brush off as much as I can before I place him in :D

Well no actually I'm not concern as my other 2 clams from my old tank was doing great in my old tank and when I went last night, they were also doing great.

The top picture you see was the one I suspect got 'pinch mantle' but eventually all return back to norm so makes me suspect was just a salt creep or sand that got stuck to his mantle that makes him pinch the way he did.

The center one I have had him for over 2 years now (not too pretty as the top one) so got some sentimental value there to get him back.

The clam I lost is similar to the new clam I got (bottom picture). No idea as to why I lost that clam, which has been with me over a year :eek1:

Better hope he doesn't decide to get on here and find this thread... ;)

Nope...it's safe as he doesn't read English :D

Anyway it was good advice too as with his butterflies and full grown angels he have in there, it's only a matter of time :rolleye1:
