Come on Eddie! Wheres the fish already?

Fishes?? Do we need them??

 I've officially call my tank a reef tank so no fishes in the planning :p

SWEET HITCHHIKER

SWEET HITCHHIKER

"Well who needs fishes when you have great hitchhiker"

Found this in my tank yesterday afternoon ….

SeaSlug01.jpg

SeaSlug02.jpg

So I did a Melev’s thingy and place the slug into a glass and took out my book of ‘Reef Invertebrates: An Essential Guide to Selection, Care and Compatibility by Anthony Calfo and Robert Fenner’ to try to identified it…

SeaSlug03.jpg

SeaSlug04.jpg

The closest I got of this Nudibranch is from the Ceratosoma Tenue family….

“I don’t know how Marc does his but it’s so difficult to take a picture into a glass or even take a clear picture of something so small close-up??”

Anyway, I figure it was safe to place him back in the tank!!

Coral27.jpg

This has grown quite a bit from the last time I saw it

Acropora Yongei:

Looks good Ed, do you have any FTS of it lately, curious to see how it's taking shape now with a few corals in.

sorry for quoting this "long post"
Nice tank out there but will your placement of the tunze pump post any maintenance issue in the future (e.g impeller need replacement)

"Btw, I used KZ Speed Glue to glue sections of the rockwork together for easy removal of my Stream rocks. "

wont the coraline algae or any coral growth cause the rocks to be "glued" and making the removal of LR a challenge (esp without harming your precious corals)

Sometimes you just gotta sacrifice ease of maintenance for pretty!

Over the top of the tunze rocks are about 3 ricks (glues together) so it's a matter of removing em to get access to the Stream :p

Could be but obviously to get those pumps hidden there's a price to pay so you will have to decided if it's worth it.

Of course it will be much easier to just have the pumps hanging from the sides but artistically it look BAD IMO :D

So true.......so true !! Each will have to decided on their own what's their priority in their set-up??

:D

i love his idea of tunze placements.

You planning on something similar??? :D

It's actually not too bad removing em Stream rocks or you can have the stream rocks as your top level of your scape.

Problem I didn't do that is cause with 3 stream rocks, the aquascape will look too symmetry for my liking

I agree, my tank look like crap with all the tunze hanging inside :D
