Estimate on powder coat cost?

I bought a used tank/stand combo today. The stand is steel and was previously painted, but the paint is chipped in several areas and there is some surface rust showing. I am going to strip the old paint and clean it up, then I want to have it refinished.

I know there are several on here that are using steel stands. Before I start randomly calling around, does anyone have any recommendations on who to contact for powder-coating (the closer to Plant City the better)?

Anyone have a rough guess at what I should expect to have a 72 x 36 x 30-something stand done?

I can tell you here that I had a quote done for a stand on my build and it was around $200-$300 dollars. Note my stand is going to be 96 x 48 x 42.

Thanks. That's right around what I was expecting to hear.

Did/will you have it done? If so, do you mind if I as who did it? Or did you decide to do something different?

What about rhino lining it.. I was actually thinking about that for your stand Newbie. It would without a doubt with stand the abuse from the saltwater and use.

Yeah, that's my backup. I've looked into it a bit, and it looks like several people have used Herculiner with good results. I also found one called Monstaliner, which is similar but doesn't have the rubber bits in it for texture. Still researching though.

If anyone reading has experience with any of these, please share.

I didn't know that. You're holding out on me. Seriously though can you do it in white?

I am having nwest build my stand once my situation levels out. I didn't know I was getting a two for one deal.

LOL was just thinking about it yesterday a buddy just got his truck done and was like hmmm that would be a good for a stand... I know they have alot of different colors available. I dont know what it would cost but think it would hold up better than powder coating..

There is a place over by us Dover welding ect on MLK near Gallagher rd used them on a number of jobs ? May be able to help you out.

If they can sand blast it or what ever you could roll on Truck bed liner?

Pool masters here used it on one of the service truck trailers - I will check with them on how it held up to all the bleach and salt

just buy a can of the liner and do it in your garage. inexpensive and it will last forever in this application. walmart, autozone, or pep boys.
