What is the size of the neck inside the skimmer cup ?
Looks a little to small for three Eheims .
You have a build up to far down the neck and you said is skimming wet
Very nice skimmer by the way .

Thanks guys it is a 12" collection cup and It's been pulling a half inch or so a day. I have a 170 so it's way oversized. No complaints, best skimmer I've had yet.

That's just yellow foam and the angle of the light. I cleaned it recent. I'll post a pic tomorrow. I'm sure I don't have it adjusted perfect, I've been gone alot. I'll measure the neck tomorrow. It's late.

ER website shows neck as 5.5"
Any idea what the similar Deltec and H&S neck diameters are? The closest models would be the Deltec AP703 and the H&S A300-3x1260

Thank you , it is the same size as my twin 1260's Eheim.... Deltec AP902 skimmer .
Also the AP702 with twin 1260's Eheims has 5.5" neck.

Thats the 902 right? Any idea what the 703 uses? Hard to tell from the pics.

We know that. The question is, what is the neck diameter?

The RC-500s neck is 5 1/2 inch. I just measured it.

That is also known and posted already. The info we were looking for is the diameter of the neck of the Deltec AP703

Great thread - Thanks for all the work.
I have a Sedra 9000 on my ER 8-2+. Never really worked very well. Been doing lots of reading lately, modified the Pinwheel today with a Scrub pad, seems to work well, but the pump is making more noise, probably not balanced as well as it was.
Anyway, looking at buying the new pinwheel assy from ER.

Before I do that -
Does anyone have an opinion on the Sedra 9000 as being an OK pump? I have mine setup as a Recirc design.

The Sedra 9000 are not known to be that great of a pump. Not much more powerful than a 5000. I dont think there is a new PW for the Sedra 9000. You can retrofit it with the Eheim NW pump or a SP4 pump if that's what you meant.

Actually ER does have a new PW for the Sedra 9000 on the web page...$49. But just wondering if it will help.

I'd call and ask. They very recently released revised PWs for the SP3, SP4, SP5 pumps that improve performance over previous versions. I see a replacement impeller for the 9000, but is it any different from what you have now?
