T5s, good good. Now to attack that pesky Flubber infestation you have on your reef:lol:my apologies for not updating this tank for so long! i was enlisted into the army (singapore's army requires all male to be conscripted) and therefore did not have time to maintain this SPS reef. everything went down hill soon after and had to sold off all the SPS. i slowly changed to LPS/Zoas tank and also added 8-10kg of liverocks to support the system better.
Here's how the tank looks like today
i hardly touches the tank now, i don't dose anything special (other than microbelifft special blend bacteria) and i do WC once every 2 weeks. i don't have any algae issue. Good news is that im finally having more time now and will be coming back to SPS full force soon. will also be changing to T5 for the first time in my reefing life. stay tune!!
PS: thanks for all you guys who remembered me and asked for an update. appreciated it!
Sad that you longer have sps but glad youre still in the hobby.
Good luck on your road back to sps, your corals will love the switch to t5
Tank looks great as always . What is the reason for switching to T5 from LED?
T5s, good good. Now to attack that pesky Flubber infestation you have on your reef:lol:
I think you will love your new light! Haha, at flubber infestation!
flubber= lps/soft corals
Your aquascape is so amazing, I too hope you fill it up with acros again one day. They'll love your new light.
Don't worry, lots of us still on the T5 bandwagon! I'm liking this tank too - even though it's filled with flubber.
Flubber can be an insidious infestation! Left unchecked, Flubber can steal potential homes from delicate SPS beauties! Think of the SPS man!
(I hide my Flubber in a separate tank, it's my secret shame)
T5s rock, you will love the results!
Hi guys! finally im updating my thread! its been sometime and im coming backing to SPS! sold away most of my LPS, still keeping some zoas, lps and anemones. but this tank's gonna be mainly SPS!
my new toy, when i first joined the marine scene, i got myself a maxspect razor. i was able to get awesome sps coloration with this but as time goes by, i got really sick of the shimmer! i wanted a pure T5 fixture. and a good want. so i got myself an ATI 6x39w non-dimm
Upon opening, im glad i got myself a brand new set.. those reflectors are damn reflective!
Current combination is 3CP, 3BP..
So, due to having false ceiling for most part of my ceiling, had no choice but to drill the wall. special thanks to my dad who helped me do most of the work!
lights on
damn this fixture is bright! i could literally grow SPS on anywhere! im finding the 3 CP, 3 BP combo abit too blue. i on 4 tubes only for now (3CP, 1 BP) and i find this just nice!
Current FTS, i do have a couple of frags right now. running AIO and rowaphos trying to bring down Po4 to suitable level before going for more colonies/frags.
Thanks for viewing!
Very nice Pickup! You will be surprised at how well the corals respond to the T5 Light
3C+, 3B+ is too blue for me as well. Just swap out the center C+ with a Fiji Purple or Giesemann Super Purple and it will be just right:thumbsup:
Thanks!!Looking good! Look forward to seeing the progress.
Hey hey, good to see you back around, looking forward to more updates.
