I love your tank, its amazing!! I was wondering if we could get a few pics of the outside of the tank to see the whole setup. Thanks

Thanks, I think there are some room pictures at the begining of this thread that was taken by Joseph.
If not, I'll try to get a few some times soon.

Shutin,

This is not my tank but the person who owns this tank has an elegance coral that looks identical to mine in tentacle length and coloration.

Scroll down to about the 15th or 16th pic. You will see a green/bright purple tips elegance on the right side of the tank:

I see, very nice green. It is different in coloration than mine. Ali, we could talk when I get down to your neighborhood in the next month or two.

Eileen,

Eileen,

Good to hear from you, and how are you?

I feed mine fish every day with fresh sea food that I made myself. I target feed mine anemone and LPS like the mother colony of elegance /Scolymia onece or twice a week, but I feed three or four times a week for the baby elegance.
What about you? What do you keep?

By the way, there was this tall young gentleman sat at mine table at the luncheon. Do you know his name?
Thanks

Shu Tin

Yes, David finally got it done this past Friday. I'll get some pictures after he cleans the windows this week. Sorry it took me so long to get some pictures up ,but I promised I'll take pictures before I leave town again.:)

Food - I am leaning in the directions of using a food mash mix. Living so close to the sea it seems ridiculous to not utilize the abundance we have available here in California.

I keep mainly SPS and clams even after my disaster last year with AEFW. I do have a smaller tank where LPS seem to be doing well in.

The tall guy that was sitting next to me is Arnold (rc handle: APon).

I hope to one get into elegance corals and all these cool LPS you have - simply amazing!

Here are some pics

Here are some pics

The pump is on the left back wall right above the green A. Youngi:

Let me know anytime your in San Francisco.

We have cymbidiums galore as well.

Cymbidiums? I got a dark yellow ones, I'll add some pics of it to Phtobucket some times so you could see. It is very unusual with dark red mouth.

I like LPS, they are easy to keep and provides lots colors in mine tank, but the larger specimens required target feeding some occasionally. So, it is a challenge because they are at the bottom of the tank.

Eileen, got any pictures of your Orchids? I love to see it.

Back to mine new DC pump, it has replaced most of the 6200 and two Mag 17(?). The flow is so strong it blows David(6 ft 4 in) around when he is directly in front of the pump:eek1:

There were small patches of red syno in some areas before, but now they are all gone. But some LPS, like elegance coral, yuma, and ricordea are not too happy because of the strong flow.
I think if I have three of these pumps, I could removed all the close loop pumps, but would not be able to keep some of the corals.

Thanks Eileen for the pictures. I love these guys. Mine stays out side. They seem to like the saltry coastal foggy weather.
If you are in Monterey, please come by and have a look.
