I have a Bubble Magus 3+, a Sicce 2.0, need a heater, and possibly a media reactor (one of the mini ones).

As for a refuge, it's up in the air right now. I'm leaning towards not running chaeto and just sticking LR in the middle chamber.

Any opinions or suggestions are very welcome.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

I got 2 berghia nudibranches for my aptasia problem.

I've tried peps. I've tried chemicals. I've tried everything except these. Let's see how they do.

AND they laid eggs. I'll float them in the tank and see what the results are.

So after a busy night of laying 3 egg clusters, the nudis are, what I assume to be, in hiding. I have the 2½ egg ribbons in the 50¢ toy container with holes floating in the tank. I say 2½ because my sixline started pecking at the eggs.

We shall see what happens.

So about your lighting, you run blue, white and UV like bulbs and that's it ? I can't wait to see some newer additions of colorful 'high end' acros - have you got yourself a SSC like pink acro yet, if not - GET ONE!

4 UV, 6 Royal Blue, and 6 Cool White. That's the extent of my rig. I thought about throwing a red/cyan and green on but never got the motivation.

I'm hoping the nudis get to it. I didn't see them this morning so I'm guessing they are in hiding until lights out.

I'll try and snag a shot of what was given to me as an SSC from my favorite reef shop. It was red/pink but has turned blue at the base. Might be the LEDs messing with color.

Chaeto never worked in any of my tanks
Imho and like you mentioned,it's better to go with live rock and a pump to keep it clean(if the flow isn't enough).

Cant wait to see what happens with the nudis.
I think i read somewhere that if you try berghia for aptaisia,you should also remove predators, like wrasses,that could harm them.
Maybe i'm 100% wrong...but thought to say,just in case.

I have SSC frags from two different sources. They both have the signature SSC colours, but the smaller frag which was brown for nearly 10 months has recently started to colour up and is growing with a blue base.

So yours is fine as far as I am concerned mate. :lol:

Both my of my SSC are only frags. Lets hope they grow up to be colonies. If you come to UK next year or someone you know comes, I will certainly make a frag for you.
