she is about 2.5" and kills every male i have tried to introduce to her. all the males have been around the 1" mark so should i go with a slightly larger fish or what, also i got rid of my flame shrimp because he never did anything and then the perc and sixline teamed up and ate it within minutes of going into the tank, im convinced these fish are just pure evil.

My orange F ocellaris was just like your F perc just 3 days ago, killed 3 males, 2 in 1 day. Right now she's in my sump, gonna trade her in today. Went out yesterday and got a pair of B&W ocellaris, so far they are hanging out together all day and night. I would suggest you trade her in for another 1 and add another at same time.

I use to think my female ocellaris was pure evil too. I found one that she finally accepted a year ago. He eats like a pig and was the most active in the tank at the lfs.

You could try moving around rocks, or take her out and put her in another tank for a while. Then when you decide to add another little clown, add it to the tank at the same time you put the female back in. Make sure the male is a really good eater, and no rips in his fins. If there are several in the same tank at the lfs, buy the one that aggressively goes after the food and it is smaller than your female. If you are attached to your clown and don't want to get rid of her. Try this, don't give up, maybe this will work for you.

thanks for the advice. i am very attached to her so i know i will keep her, i just need to find a male she cant fit in her mouth and can hold his own. i think i will try the other tank thing you said to do wicked, sounds like a good solution, i have done this for a pair of neon dottybacks i had. the female only came out of it with a few cuts here and there and then the male chilled out after a while

maybe the males you're adding are actually females? When I paired off mine I bought the smallest ones I could find and let them duke it out. They were both around the same size, but very small (I think less than an inch).

Same thing happened with me with my female ocellaris, i simply just netted the female and let her chill in the net for a whole day, when i let her go she picked on the male for about 3 days but the male knew by then where to hide, they now do everything together..
