Finicky eater with HLLE

Of course one leads the other. I have a King Angelfish in a FOWLR tank. I've had this fish since it was small, about 4 years. He's growing like a weed and is a big fat fish now. The fish is healthy except he has head and lateral line erosion (HLLE) on his head only. My problem is he only will eat one kind of food: Formula Two pellets. I offer brine shrimp, frozen Angel formula, seaweed selects, even broccoli, but he turns up his nose. He will wait for the Formula Two pellets. Sometimes he will wait all day and just watch the other fish gobble up the expensive foods I buy for him. This guy is spoiled rotten. Anyone have a similar experience? Any tricks to getting a fish to eat new foods?

Formula 2 is pretty good. You might try Zoe as a soak. That helped a certain purple tang I know.

Also try soaking with Kent Garlic Xtreme. My coral beauty was finicky at first and I use this and Zoe as a soak.
Good luck

Water conditions might be your problem, can you post the following:
Ammonia
Nitrite
Nitrate
pH
Phosphate

Bad water conditions can be part of the cause. Tell us about your filtration on your tank. There also could be something in the water. You could try using carbon and changing it out weekly at minimum for a couple of months. I had a kole tang that I got from a local LFS that had HLLE bad. In two months in my aquarium it was all gone.
