Fire Shrimp

I got my first blood shrimp.... well actually the first shrimp ever..... He just shed his exoskeleton and was just wondering is that mean he is growing and is fine or is something wrong? and what should i do with the skeleton take it out?

One more thing I guess I will add in under this thread.... will a fire shrimp get along with a cleaner shrimp? or possibly another fire shrimp...?

Shrimp will generally shed every couple of weeks, so it's quite normal They also generally get along with Lysmata sp. shrimp as well.

my shrimp molt all the time, i have 3 blood/fire shrimp, a cleaner shrimp and 2 peppermint shrimp. they are a lot of ppl's favorite thing in my 125

Everything seems to be normal. My shrimp shed every 2 weeks or so. As far as keeping them with other shrimp I personally haven't noticed any problems with Fire shrimp, Cleaners, and Peppermints all together.

if you just got your shrimp, and it has molted successfully, i think that means the shrimp will live long term.

any time i buy a new shrimp, i wait till it molts to know if it will survive. if its going to die, it usually dies during its first molt because its not healthy enough to finish the process.
