firefish with pimple?

i have a purple firefish

and i just noticed it started to grow a white dot... its one whit dot on a bump... looks a lot like a pimple thats about to pop... around his tail area...

anyone seen or know what that could be?

I've got one with a similar symptom. Small white spot on the left side about 1/2 way from head to tail, about 1/3 of the way down from the dorsal surface.

It was there from the day I got it, so I started hypo under the assumption that it is ich. I did have a small outbreak on my mollie in QT and it disappeared after about a week. But this ONE spot on the firefish has been persistent for over 3 weeks now. It's not getting bigger or smaller as far as I can tell.

mine got really big, to the point where it looked like it was ready to pop.. but now its really small again... but still there.. very weird. i cant get a good picture with my camera though

my clown fish has the same thing...i think it is something like lymphocytosis or something- a parasite
