I like it. You did a really nice job!

thanks melev, you think I need any trimming around the bottom cabinets doors. my plans was to orange peel the top & bottom cabinet doors and all trims to match the walls with same color paint except the ledge and trim molding right below it which will be painted white to match the windows around the living room.

It's coming along nicely! If you are going to blend the bottom in with the walls, I don't see any reason to add molding. That would just negate the blending IMO.

thanks, but my plans was to blend in with walls along with orange peel to all trimming except for fish tank ledge and trim molding right below it which will be painted white. this will give me the exact viewing on my windows in living room.

Boy I read most of this thread and all I can say is WOW just like everyone else. That is just awesome I need to find out what you do for a living so I can start doing that. Maybe I shouldn't ask and I really don't expect an answer but I gota ask what is all this setting you back and how much do you think it will cost to run it?

Do you realize you have more plumbing and pipeing In that one room than your entire house. I think Im going to pick up some extra lotto tickets this weekend.

Your set up is really looking very good, really great planning for your first reef system! With my first reef it was ... "Oh? What's a skimmer?!"

... Nice work!

Aren't you worried about water getting into that insulation? Perhaps if not too late you could change it out to rigid foam?

thanks, but if i have that much water coming down the front of my main display thats the least of my problems will be insulation getting wet hehe. pic's wasn't taking but i had it box in with 3/4" plywood and poly coating to hold insulation in place also caulking was use to prevent any moisture from entering.

thanks and yes this is my first tank ever:crazy1: :lol2: kind of crazy but who isn't. all I did was research throughout the night, pm experience reefers here on RC which was really helpful BTW, and incorporated every good ideas from different setups and put mine together, but with a little modifications along the way. Oh as far as the skimmer this thing is a beast 21"L x 21"W x 38.5"H also i will be ordering self cleaning head. skimmer cup alone holds about 2 gallon of nog.

I'll take cash instead. I already a dussumieri-acantharus. It looks almost like the bariene, though the bariene has nicer color.
