Fish amount for 120 vs 75

Hi everyone,

So i was just wondering is there really a difference in the amount of fish you can keep in a 120 (48L x 24W x 24T) vs a 75 (48L x 18W x 22T)? Like i have been thinking tang wise for both tanks and the real only difference is the width and i see the width usually for aquascaping purposes. So if you guys coud give me your opions on this that would be great, thanks

The 120 is a much bigger tank but can be run off the same lights, skimmer... Fish wise, not a lot of difference. I'd go with a 125 for tang's

A 75 is 20" T.

A 120 is noticeable more real estate.

There is a few of the smaller tangs like Koles or mimic that would be fine in either.

Bigger is always better for tangs and saltwater aquariums in general IMO. Flow is equally important with tangs more flow = better.

Just go for the 150g.... everyone always comments on how much they like my 30" tall tank.

a 180 is the next size up 6x2x2 a 125 is 6x18"x22"

Thanks for all the replys. I woudd love to get a 125 or 150 or a 180 but i have a 75 right now and i also have a 120 but i my 120 is freshwater and it would be easier to make the 75 sw. But i was asking this question because there is no mayjor difference between the 2 tank sizes so i wanted to know is there really a difference in what fish i can put in each tank due to the simular sizes?

My 120 currently has the following:
Yellow tang, kole tang, 2 oce clowns, 2 bangaiis, 4 chromis, yellow coris wrasse, m.meleagris leopard wrasse, dusky jawfish.

I wouldn't keep anything but a smaller bristletooth tang in a 4' tank. That being said I have 2 125g 6ft and wish they were 180s.
