Fishdoc's 120 gallon thread

The tank is looking great Chris. You'll be cranking out frags again really soon I bet.

I usually use Handibond that I get at Danielle's RC. It is .7 ounces and about $6 or $7 dollars I think. Lasts a lot longer than those little tubes.

Chris, Is the tank bigger, or are your corals smaller? lol Lots of room for a shopping spree tomorrow. Thanks for the pictures Chris looking good. Sorry to say i'll be stuck in town tomorrow, and was looking forward to seeing everyone Gary, Chris, Angela and the rest of you reef junkies. :(

Chris, looking good and can't wait to see it...

As far as my glueing efforts, I use Flash Gel (superglue gel)... It comes in the larger .71 oz tube... You can buy it online for like $7 or $8 but most places rip you off shipping... But its used for replacing billiards stick tips... So if you have a local gaming store, you might see what they have there...

Flash is another brand of cyanoacrylate. It is used for a lot more than pool tips. I have used flash for RC airplanes but haven't used the gel in that brand.

Angela,
Next time you are at Wal Mart you might try picking up a couple of tubes of the Duro gel to try. I bet you will like it;)
I am a super glue junky...whenever we go to a different store I have to check out the super glue. Just ask Amy:rolleyes:

Michael,
Thanks for the compliment.... I hope so.
Hope the kids and the better half are doing well:)

John,
Thanks.........the tank is little bigger(went from a standard 90 to a standard 120) but I really fragged everything up before I moved to make things easier. I also sold several whole colonies. I think MTRC will be chopping up my old Evil Mel's green mille at the meeting at the Critter this month. At least that's what I heard through the grapevine.....maybe true or not I don't know. At any rate the corals have gotten smaller:)

Unfortunately looks I won't be able to make the swap either:( Just too much going on here with the move. the kids and starting school in 2 weeks.

ct_vol,
Thanks:) We hope to host a meeting some time in the next few months.

cwesgesheide,
Funny seeing you here:P
Thanks...hope everything is going well with the tank down in Tampa:)

thanks for looking everyone, Chris

The kids and wife are doing good. If you are into CA go to any hobby shop and they usually have plenty to choose from. From thin that will cure so fast it will cause balsa to smoke to rubberized that supposidly is flexible.

cwesgesheide,
Funny seeing you here:P

Yeah I know....... I REALLY need to get a life!! You know I wish I would have got a little bigger tank myself. Mostly the front to back. Oh well once I get a house I'm going to set up a mammy jammer!!!

Good tip Michael. I spent alot of my first 7 or so years in RC shops since my dad flew planes and worked at the old store out on Hwy 100. I need to poke my head in one...kinda scared that will start something else though:lol:

cwegescheide,
I supposedly have one but still spend too much time on here:p
Be carefull what you wish for...this 120 has been more work than I thought. When you start with a basic tank and add this and that over time it doesn't register as being as much as it is. When you try to do it all at once it's like "what the hell am I doing!!!!!!" at times:)

Chris

the 120 looks awesome chris. I only hope to get that good at woodworking over time. I will have to post some pics of my 29 hood i am in the process of building right now.
Andy

Angels-sorry-I put the twist of a perv on it...

Chris- hate to hear you're gonna miss the swap. I had some things for you. I'll bring them by next time I'm in Knoxville.

Chris I see you finally got the maxi-jet mods going. How are they working out?

tank is looking good. It looks like you really fragged it down before the move the colonies don't look anywhere as big as they used to. Next time you are in frag mode let me know as I need some more goodies. My tank is starting to recover from the carpet install that had it in the temporary location for several weeks.

Isn't it about time for more pics????? Come on Chris!! Get with the program! :) While your at it take a nice pic of your teal stag for me. The frag I got from you is really starting to look pretty nice. I'm curious to see what it looks like grown out.

Thanks!

The other Chris

Hey guys:)

The 900 mods I have are working fine. I initiall planned no powerheads for this tank but needed a bit more flow and those are working well for now. The 1200's the club did I think had a few that didn't work.

I'll get some more pics up as soon as I can. Vet school is starting up and I expect I will be swamped for a while....but not forever:)

thanks, Chris
