Hello,
I am in the process of setting up a Cadlights 22G. To conserve space in the over flow and add more directional flow, I was considering adding a return outlet.
Would add an additional outlet and attach both with rotating flow deflectors.
Here is my overall question. The current pump is rated at 300 GPH. I was considering plumbing both returns to this pump, or plumbing them individually to (2) smaller pumps rated at 160 GPH to reduce pump space (Mini-Jet 606's).
So, are (2) 160 GPH pumps = to (1) 300 GPH pump. Will I be significantly reducing the water turnover in the tank?
The other alternative would be to add a powerhead to tank itself, but was going to attempt the tank bare of equipment.
