Flow

Since we have been battling cyano we are going to adjust our flow, and I want to know what you guys think would be appropriate for seahorses.

How many koralias, and which korlias (k1, k2, etc), would you guys recommend for a 40 gallon rectangle seahorse tank? Its a pair of erectus.

We own the following powerheads (all of these obviously arent in the tank together, these are just the ones we own):

One K2
One K1
Four Koralia nanos

Which combination would you guys use? (we can buy another one if necessary)

I wont tell you what we are currently using, I want to hear your suggestions first so it doesnt bias your reponse ;)

Thanks

I'm not familiar with the power heads as all I use are Hagen 802's, but in any case, it would be much better to solve the problem of the cyano by getting rid of the food it feeds on.
Seahorse tanks are often notoriously laden with nutrients that feed cyano as well as many algae because of uneaten foods that are not removed but trapped in many places in the tank.
I do more frequent water changes as well as daily vacuuming of the tank to remove uneaten foods.

Use the nanos, as they have a built-in guard on them. There have been a few amputated tails (I've seen the pix) due to using the larger Korallias in SH setups.
