Foam bubble post filter

I just got the RS8-3+004 skimmer... my jaw bout dropped to the floor when I picked up the two boxes for the skimmer... I have only used a Red Sea Prizm ...:eek2: :eek2:

I got the skimmer going tonight but as I think I am missing a foam post bubble filter (#5 on the parts diagram)

It could be that I tossed it out when I unpacked it.. thinking it was part of the packing material... how important is this?

DUHHHH

No wonder I was not getting an answer  thanks for pointing that out!

I do have a question on the Tunze 6200s... I have not installed them yet (I am still waiting for one that is owed to me by Mark FishyBusiness... group by/shipping screw-up thing) I cannot believe he is having such a hard time getting this thing... I have called several places and they have them in stock... but that is another story!

Is it recommended to place these at opposite ends of the tank, I will have 2 in a 210.... can they be place at the same end..... and/opr can they be place on the back wall okay? I am not totally sure where the ideal placement is......

I got the magnets but due to the design of the stand...it appears as tho I can only use one.. the other end has a cabinet where I cannot get to the tank wall... I would have to use the hanger instead

I would try both placements. Their is no right or wrong way, it is just what works for the tank layout. I would probably think the backwall nearest the corners will work best though, especially aimed to the front center or opposite corner.
