Formal Introduction

Used magnesium to fixate and 9.5 ethanol and 0.5 distilled water to ship..

I have talked back and forth to them but no other responses on the DNA..

Not sure why you posted the pic but, its impossible to tell these corals apart just from looks alone..There are way to many of these types of coral out there.sansibia also has a ban on import and has been that way for along time,Not saying its not possible but unlikely.. Did you send that coral to viper ?

I honestly can't remember if Viper got any corals from me. (That's a really old post in the link.)

As you probably already know (or can figure out)...
a "ban" on Sansibia is a farce. It can easily arrive as a hitch-hiker and most people in the collection/supply chain wouldn't know what it is if it stared them in the face :)

Do you know of anyone with this coral in an SPS (low nutrient) display?

^True

The only person that might, TMZ, Not sure what tank his are in( If he still has them) or nutrient levels...So i guess my answer would be no not really.. Why do you ask ?

IME Xeniids ultimately fail in extreme low nutrient systems.

Aluminum based PO4 adsorbers are like Kryptonite to most Xeniids.
Great introduction thread, BTW!

Well if you know someone with such a system and they are willing try these PM me ill give a frag away. I would love to see what happens ! Im in niagara county if anyone closer wants to try also. I will give you a frag as long as you keep us updated here !
