Frag Swap In Nashville

It's that time again. The Middle Tennessee Reef Club is planning our third annual frag swap in Nashville, Tn. on January 20th from 12:00-4:00. There will a table charge this year of $25 per whole table or $15 for half a table, plus we will be giving 5 raffle tickets for each table order (3 for each half table). We would like for interested club BOD members to contact us via PM to arrange for tables for those who only have a few frags to trade/sell. The reason for the table charge this year is due to an increase of costs for the room by almost 5X from last year.

Last year was a great success with around 200 people coming through the doors (we needed a bigger room), so we hope to make this year at least as good as last year. Please post to let us know how many to plan for this year, More information will be coming very soon.

I was there last year. It is definitely worth the drive. There were a lot of reefers selling nice frags and a few vendors as well. I walked out with 15 or so frags, a clam and an awesome little occelaris clownfish. There were also many nice raffle prizes. I will definitely be going again this year.

How big is a table? Did people just have their frags in baggies and coolers, or did anyone set up a tank? My noobiness is showing

neuro- alot of people had their frags in baggies but last year when i lived in memphis and we came richard and barrett brought a small club frag tank. i believe us middle tn guys will have a small tank as well. the tables are the large "convention" style white plastic tables. this is a good opportunity to pick up some awesome stuff. hope to see you all here!<~~~steve

The WTMRAC club meeting will most likely be rescheduled as a lot of people will most likely want to attend the frag swap.

I hate to see frags in bags...I like to see them in a tank with decent lighting...otherwise, how do you know what you are buying.

The club has several tanks that could be used for this if anyone is taking frags. I just ask that everything be brought back in the same condition as it was given to you. I am not sure that I will be attending this year, as I will most likely have to work that day. I hope lots of others will attend. I hate to miss it.

Last year I was lucky enough to get my frags into "the club display" Barrett and I were busy selling frags the entire time.

Presentation definitely counts when selling. If you have great frags, but a bad display, no one will be able to see how nice the frags really are.

Dustin, if i remember correctly, that's the "switch-a-roo" weekend... the Sunday workers are working Saturday and the Saturday workers are working Sunday!!

I'm planning on going, since I've managed to find time to get my tank back in order. 3 bottles of Joe's Juice, lots of water, wrinkly fingers, and letting my 2 year old trash a couple rooms made a huge difference to my tank. LOL
