***Fragged my Heteractis Magnifica***

Lets see some pics of how they look today.

Here's my question - if you had "multiple attempts, mostly w/o success", why would you try cutting them before mastering how to keep them?

Anywho, I wish you luck. I believe certain strains of anemone are hardier than others. If that is due to genetic differance, then I'm all for trying to propogate those traits for the hobby.

I have been able to keep them successfully. I am a very big proponent of sick anemones giving healthy anemones bacterial infections. Which will lead to their demise.

Sorry for the lousy pics. The baskets and angle make it pretty tough. I will try and get a top down. Gotta be careful though as I don't have the use of one of my thumbs at the moment so don't want to give the camera a bath.

It's hard to tell from the pics but both halves are completely footed and inflated.

Wow! Great display of testicular fortitude.

Right!!!! lmao!

I'm so happy it fragged well... do keep posting updates periodically, this is fantastic! Wouldn't it be great if this were a new one we could clone in captivity with high success? Bravo, my man, for having the balls to give it a shot!

I was poking around this morning trying to see if they have formed mouths. I can't get them to deflate much which is probably a good sign. My gut tells me they won't be ready for feeding for some time.
