Here's a nice 10 day comparison.

I've been getting some nice basing on almost everything. New nubs all over the place. Colors are coming up.

I have noticed a few of my frags have weird spots on them where the tissue is scratched. I don't think it's red bugs or AEFW. It looks more like something large was dragged across the side of them. Like a mexican turbo plowed by them. It's really only two that show this and it's only on a few small coralites that stick out. Then, my blue voodoo is showing STN at the base where it's shaded. It has grown only slightly. The tip of it today looked almost as if it were smashed. White and not blue anymore. I'm not sure of what to attribute that to.

I did turn my blue channels on my LED up by about 10%.. So perhaps that frag needs to be moved down. I'll try and snap some photos of it tonight.

So, it's like without fail that as soon as I praise my tank... I get a problem.

Apparently, I have something in my tank lopping off whole pieces of acro's. I had my blue voodoo lose its tip as well as a small branch. Three things have been attached.

These two photos are 12 hours apart.

I have a strawberry crab in the tank.. but that's the only thing I know of that is large enough to take pieces of the acro.

I dropped a glass with a snack in an attempt to catch something while I'm at work.

Mini update since nothing is going on at work.

Everything is doing fine except a blue voodoo and ora borealis.

The blue voodoo has base stn and missing tips and the borealis has poor PE and very slow base stn. I pulled both of them and inspected for bugs and couldnt find any. So, I removed the glue they had on them a moved them to another location. I also glued over any STN areas.

Let's see how it goes.

I also started dosing Seachem Fuel after seeing impressive results from the Hard coral tank at Fish collection. Same few corals had shot out decent sprouts and fully encrusted plugs with great color. I figured it couldn't kill. I'm doing 3 caps which is a little more than half the recommended dose. I also started feeding reef roids. I'll do both twice a week. I'm hoping for some better colors and growth if I get some nutrients on the board.

As for my pest chopping up my sps. I stopped feeding the tank two days ago and I have a raw shrimp in a glass. I haven't caught anything other than hermits and I haven't even seen my strawberry crab come out at night in 3 nights. I know he's alive because I've seen him moving around in the shadows. The damage has stopped but I'm fearing I'll have to start removing liverock to catch this guy.

PE remains good on everything in the tank. I moved my blue channels up further to 80%. Leaving white's on 38% and red/green at about 15%. T5s are on for 5hrs a day.

Did some reseach on my LED system that came with the tank. Luckily, my light is the one from the "bought a chinese Led" thread here in FMAS. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2338097 and the original owner created the thread and gave advice on ordering your own and also shared some insight into his own light.

I've come to realize that I've had my LED off balance. It has four channels and I've been raising what I thought was the blue only channels and leaving the white and the red alone. Turns out, the light was designed to give off a 14k appearance with all channels being equal.

My channels 1&3, which I thought were blue channels, are at 80%. My 2&4 which I thought were white and red/green stayed no more than 40%. Well, I'll show a channel pattern but I ended up reducing my 1&2 to 70% and upping 3&4 to 50% for now. I'll slowly raise up my 2&4 to match my 1&3 over the next few weeks. Hoping for better growth and health. Should be the case since I have it at half strength and at 100% it should yield about 200 par at 21" based on my readings. Add in the three t5s on top of that.

Today is my first full day of the adjusted lighting schedule.

Also, it's time to get new t5 bulbs for my b+ as those are pretty old now. I'm running 2b+ and one c+.

I did just pull the trigger on a frag pack from Battle Corals. It'll be here friday.
