The last rendering you did on k( tank is so real it's hard to believe.... AMAZING

Thank you Ed. Your tank from what I have seen is darn near real now. And you have the thing built and just about ready to go in the time it took to get a halfway decent render done. That is amazing. Next time you design and bring it hear will have to jump on it to keep ahead of you......

Jim

Here's my contribution. If you have time to come up with some ideas I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Will definitely run it here first as you guys make the planning much easier !! In the past I have to relay on trying to imagine what the finished product will look like and this can be dangerous as sometimes what you imagine don't met reality. :p

Lemme ask you: You gunna do it if, I get that pump nose in?

Jim

:D I very well might do it. I just need to know how close that fan will be to the wall. The dimensions in my sketchup from the stand to the wall are right on. The only way I see it's possible is if the sump is moved all the way towards the left rear leg. That would give me maybe 24" to work with.

Sump dimension is 56x22x14 (LWH). It's currently on order so no changes there.

I realize the sump is already ordered. But this is where some more thought should have been given. I can see a foot of wasted space in that sump. I would imagine that the sump will come with the bulkhead hole already drilled. That would be my first choice (after using a 40" or so sump.) To run the pump out the facing side of the sump. with the fuge above to the right. Nobody asks me about these things first.:D

Here is the solution: Hook your pump up with 2" spaflex. Use a large radius sweep of this from the bulkhead to your valve. Or use two sweep 45's. Back your pump out of the corner a bit. You are not going to enjoy working in that small room, without good active ventilation. Doing spaflex in sketchup seems difficult, but it is not, I just haven't yet. Check into the "follow me tool".

Small sumps are for kids. :D I left plenty of room in the return side for my reactors and such. I will be drilling all the bulkheads in the sump. The fabricator doesn't drill any holes. Yes, the fuge will be along the right wall. The room has an exhaust fan on a dehumidistat along with a supply and return from my HVAC, which is right on the other side of the wall so the flow is sufficient. I also have dehumidifying control on the HVAC, which is active 24/7, along with a stand alone dehumidifier. Thanks for the heads up on the "follow me tool". I'll look into that.

I resemble that first remark.... my pump is already outside the stand, any bigger it will be in da next room........Consider the hole in the facing side of the sump would be the back, or is it the front if in da room... hummmm need to meditate at the monastery on that one....

That sump is bigger than my first apartment!:eek2:

Now, How do you make a model out of a drawing?

desks.jpg

Very carefully, it is a mix of magic, endless suffering, and meditation, usually only available in a Tibetan monastery......but really the question is would you tell a model you just made that you had a GF? oh what the heck am I talking about..........Try hypershot (a rendering engine) trouble is it ain't free... but rather expensive.... not impressed with the free ones i have tried......
