From cube to super shallow circle

Is the tort ok? :hmm2:

Don't panic Mark the tort is better than ever. Just got a Droid turbo yesterday it has a 20 Megapixel camera and will take some photos soon. I also ordered a life proof case so I can put it under water for some up close images. And I let the coralline algae cove the bottom for a different look .

Here is proof of life Mark:cool:

I feel that way most of the time . Sps are so difficult and that's why I love them.
Any updates

Hello Julian, man in all my years keeping sps this summer was the toughest ever. things got way out of whack had a bacteria problem STN RTN. I did had to chop up my ora pearl berry colony. Enough of the bad news :deadhorse1: Everything is looking great now:thumbsup:

Sorry to hear about the pearlberry and summer troubles. Glad to hear that things are on the mend, and that that beautiful OT colony is still going strong.

Any thoughts on what caused the bacteria issue, the symptoms, and your fix for it? I'm really curious since bacterial diversity and supplementation is something I have talked with some other "advanced" SPS keepers about and spent some time thinking through. Always looking to learn more from the masters!

Sorry too about the summer problems buddy but what i see now shows that everything is ok now:thumbsup:
Nice pics:beer:

Maybe the start was when the lokani died. My friend said that when he came into the house it smells like death. When I got back six days later the tank was out of whack. I got all the parameters back in order . it may have been all my fault for not checking parameters every week and letting it go few weeks in between. Another thing that happened is my 10k reeflux stopped firing up and I had to switch to a 20k because I didn't have a spare 10k bulb. I ran that for a few weeks until I got another lamp to replace it with

Great photos. :D Yea, seeing some recession on the tort would have made me sick, so glad it pulled through.

What is that pretty stylo with the blue polyps? Does it have a name, or just a lucky purchase?

I still hate looking at that picture:bigeyes:. The stylo is the Tyree rainbow and that picture was taken when I had my 20k radium on for a few weeks.
