AquaMaxx Star S-2 combines top-quality materials, a high-efficiency pump and innovative design to deliver a superb calcium reactor. Special injection design reduces wear-and-tear and extends the life of the Italian-Made Sicce pump. Conical lid virtually eliminates all dead spots inside the reactor and recirculates unused CO2 to maximize efficiency. With the AquaMaxx Star Calcium Reactor, CO2 is injected on the outlet side of the pump. This prevents cavitation and helps to prolong the life of the pump. Outlet-injection also ensures that the flow rate inside the reactor stays constant to maximize efficiency.
CO2 recovery design re-injects excess/unused CO2. This helps to lower CO2 usage and to make sure no excess CO2 goes back to your aquarium.

Reverse-flow design to prevent clogging and improve water circulation.
