FS: Red Sea Purple Tang $70/obo

Unarce

Unshackled
Hi everyone,

I have a 5", very fat and healthy, Red Sea Purple Tang for sale.

PT.jpg

He eats frozen mysis, flakes, and pellets. I got him sometime ago from Peter (wongkwp), so he's been in captivity for quite awhile. I'd like to get the same price as I paid, which is $70, but will consider other reasonable offers.

You will not be disappointed in the health and condition of this specimen.

Kind regards,

Karl

Wow Karl...you've become quite the Purple Tang dealer!! Seriously folks, I have one of Karl's PTs and it is one of the nicest ones I've ever seen. Fat, and quite an appetite. Those of you who want one but are cautious because you've had bad luck w/ them...try Karls'. Mines never been sick and eats like a "freakin' " pig!! Karl, if you could "guarantee" that I could put the second one in my tank and the 2 won't fight, I'll take it!!!!!!!

Thank you, John...and thank you to everyone that inquired and made an offer.

The tang has been sold and is going to a good home.

Thank you very much Karl!

You have a beautiful tank and home!

The PT is acclimated and in its new home. It will make a wonderful addition :D

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks Rafael!

Curious why you are taking the yellow tang out? Not enough room or they don't get along?

Yellow and Purples are typically both pretty aggressive. I use the mirror trick when i add tangs.

I also have a yellow and will be getting a Purple here in a few weeks

Davey is right. The two probably won't "like" eachother. But the tank also has an 11" angelfish which will add to the stress and aggression. Especially in a 125. Maybe if I had a 240......

W/out the angel, I may be able to pull it off. But there are just too many fish in there to add both, and I don't think its fair to the tang. I'd hate to loose all of my livestock to an ich outbreak.

JMO.

Now I just have to find a good home for it :)

thanks for the heads up. i currently have a salfin, blue, and yellow tang and they get along fine w/ eachother. I did try to add another yellow tang and a long nose butterfly fish, but the yellow tang wouldn't leave them alone.

hopefully if i find a nice big purple tang they (mostly the yellow tang) will leave it alone...
