Full Tank Progression Shots

no offense to Peters work or his team (he has an amazing set up)....but you can't compare. Its apples and oranges. I mean Peter hasn't been in this hobby very long.....Reefbum has 2 TOTM and has years and years of successful SPS keeping. It's pinnacle really in proving he has mastered this intense hobby.

I respect the talent of all three guys you mentioned but this Keith has stood the test of time and won.....just look at his aquarium....its bursting at the seems with growth.

DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

100% agree.

sorry guys didn't mean to offend anyone here. While peter may be new to the hobby, his support team is not, Mr. Wilson is one of the most knowledgeable people in this hobby that I have ever met.

I was just trying to say that this tank and your work is exceptional. It is very inspirational. Thanks for sharing with us,
Cheers
Rob

I hope you can forgive me :D

I have plenty of room in my tank when you decide to thin out your stock. :D

Always love looking at pictures of your tank. Hopefully mine looks half as good as yours one day.

+1 to room in tank lol. How serious are you in shipping corals to share with fellow reefers? :)

I would love to pick up a few frags.

Great job!! Your SPS are taking over your tank!! I've been wavering on breaking down my tank for a little while and then get back into the hobby a couple of years from now. But, looking at your tank inspires me to keep on reefing!

Any changes to the equipment or husbandry techniques since 2010?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

One thing I don't realize, is when I look at my tank and I tell myself, "wow, this is growing very slow... when is this frag going to be a mini colony?" But then I noticed something, because we look at our tanks so frequently, we really don't notice a 1/16 of an inch of growth. Maybe it's just me, but when I started taking some pictures, I noticed a phenomenal amount of growth which surprised me.

I wish my corals to grow so fast and have colours like yours. I see you run 20k radiums and all actinic t5, do you still run the same combination? Your tank rocks man.

Thanks again everybody and sorry for the late response. I lost power at the house for six days due to Irene and I didn't have net access. Luckily I had a generator so the tank made it through just fine.

Mr. Bum, that is simply spectacular! I just used the new shot for my monitor wallpaper. PLEASE tell me that's permissible!

Can't stop oggling. Reef porn of the highest order.
Thanks! Go for it.

Many thanks. I don't ship too often but feel free to reach out to me in the future about some frags.

Thanks! No real changes to anything over the last couple of years......I stick with what works.

Very true. Taking pictures over time really illuminates how fast this stuff can grow.

Thanks.....yep...same light setup:

6' Sfiligoi light fixture with 3 SE 400W bulbs and 8 39W T5s.
Halides (driven by Sunlight Supply Blue Wave 7 HQI ballasts) are 20K Radiums while T5s are Giesemann POWERCHROME Actinic Plus

dang...that is a lot of light for 225g. I have come to the realization that SPS love lots, and I mean lots!, of light for superb coloration.
