Lookin' good! Rics look awesome.

Are you thinking about further/supplemental lighting, or you just gonna go with the 2 maxspects? The reason I'm asking, is that I'm in pretty much the same boat --> 260g with 2 maxspects.

Right now there are 3 units on the tank right now. I have 3 more I can use if needed. I am going to add the 4th in a few days to clear all the gaps in the light spectrum. But to answer your question, no, no need to add anymore supplemental lighting at all.

Thanks, been really confused about this.... Just don't wanna cough up the extra dough unnecessarily.

My tank is 24" tall, and I'm seriously beginning to wonder if the lights are too powerful in the ares immediately below them. They are G1 180w fixtures, with the 4x30w. Was wondering if that's too much.

Are you going mostly sps, or mix or....?

Thanks!

I really like your choice of wood and the color is beautiful. I would love to have that set-up in my home.

This tank will be mix of everything, but mostly SPS.

The G1 units are very similar to what I have now and on the G2 units you can adjust the time frame for just the 30w leds which is nice because they are so bright. I will only run those for a few hours per day. I have never had anything bleach or get burned from the 30w leds.

Thank you all very much, I have been working on this build for over 4 months and I made sure everything was just how I wanted it from start to finish. The cycling of the tank is killing me right now but good things come to those who wait!

Thanks for the info. Was contemplating purchasing a G2 and I just might soon..

Wish you the best of luck with your project!
