Gas exchage

Could a bad gas exchange, give me algee problems,
I have a 55 gal tank with a Plexy glass cover cut tight around my CPR Bak Pak. I dont have to do a water top off, once every 2 weeks, or so, it losses water very little, could this be a reason
I have such a bad algee problem, assume all else is fine? In other words would poor gas exchange cause a really bad hair algee outbreak?

PS great article, maybe you can recommend a good DIY sump design for a 55 gal tank and a 120 gal tank to acomidate a lot of people, a material list, and maybe a sketch of what it should look like to build a proper sump!

Hmm. Never really thought about that possibility, but it seems likely that it could have some effect.

I would post your question on the Chemistry forum. I'd like to hear Randy's thoughts on the subject.
