GB: LED Group Buy

After a very successful Salt Group buy, any body interested in LED group buy?

After trying out LED's on my corner tank, I'm super excited to go with LED's for my 300G.

I will be ordering about 400 LED's & a few power supply. If anybody is interested in tagging along & save on shipping post here.

I'm in touch with 2 companies from China. Price range is almost close to each other. I will update this thread with more information as & when available.
As of right now, I'd like to know if anybody else is interested in venturing towards LED's

I have done quite a bit of research with LED's so far & learnt a lot of valuable lessons from other reefers. So if you have any questions, I will do the best to help you out.

Sorry, this is not dead yet. I have been very busy talking to different vendors & contact them on pricing & try to choose the best option. I will get an update on the pricing very quick.
I also have received a few PM's, sorry for not having been able to follow up on time, I just wanted to get some confirmation with numbers & the right options before I enter the battle field.

No - the truth is when a business comes on HERE and makes a history for themselves abusing our forum we are left with no other choice then to censor to prevent further abuse (when other methods and tactics have proven ineffective). When something appears on the censor its there for a reason. Please don't try and trick the sensor.

FYI, these will not be CREE leds. Shaun is looking into different China vendors offering LEDs much like the ones used by Jae Kang in his build:

they may be Fedy, Epistar, Bridgelux or the like....won't know until he gets the opportunity to communicate with some vendor prospects

I have been doing some insane reading on LED's. So far the best 2 options with valid reputation are
1. SatisLED:
Pros:
Best bang for buck (Very economical)
People have posted great success
Cons:
No as much spoken as Cree (This could just be a hype / reality, & I don't want to get to this discussion)
Price: $1.39 - $1.57 / 3W LED


Option 2: CREE
Pros & Cons have already been discussed in numerous threads.
I was able to locate a source with the cheapest price
XRE: ~$3.60 / LED with free shipping.
XPE: ~$2.80 / LED
XPG: ~$5.00 / LED
For Royal Blue, it is a few cents extra.

I'm swinging towards placing order for both with most from SatisLED & few Cree. I'm very certain I will have people in both categories interested in participating in the Group buy.
