A little bit of background: I've had this GBTA (s) for about 7 years, started with one, I've sold proabaly 15+ and have about 5 right now. This have been hosted by a trio of 9 year old occelaris regularly breeding. Everything in the tank looks normal and growing (RBTA, acros, millis, frogspawn, torches, acan, palys, gorgs, etc...).
The problem: in the last few weeks one of mt GBTAs has started losing tentacles. There are little nubs left, but the tentacles are usually long and flowing. I'm not certain I saw correctly, but it looked like one of the clowns was eating a tentacle; does this happen? Other than the pathetic looking tentacles the GBTA appears to be happy. I can't think of any considerable changes I have made recently... I did have a string of 12 LEDs out that I repaired, but 12 out of the 100 or so shouldn't make a difference. Any advice on what does or may cause issues with the nem's tentacles would be greatly appreciated.
I have attached a picture of the happy looking RBTA, and (mostly) normal GBTA, and a picture of the GBTA with the tentacle issues.
