GBTA losing tentacles.

A little bit of background: I've had this GBTA (s) for about 7 years, started with one, I've sold proabaly 15+ and have about 5 right now. This have been hosted by a trio of 9 year old occelaris regularly breeding. Everything in the tank looks normal and growing (RBTA, acros, millis, frogspawn, torches, acan, palys, gorgs, etc...).

The problem: in the last few weeks one of mt GBTAs has started losing tentacles. There are little nubs left, but the tentacles are usually long and flowing. I'm not certain I saw correctly, but it looked like one of the clowns was eating a tentacle; does this happen? Other than the pathetic looking tentacles the GBTA appears to be happy. I can't think of any considerable changes I have made recently... I did have a string of 12 LEDs out that I repaired, but 12 out of the 100 or so shouldn't make a difference. Any advice on what does or may cause issues with the nem's tentacles would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached a picture of the happy looking RBTA, and (mostly) normal GBTA, and a picture of the GBTA with the tentacle issues.

Yes I would say that your clown is chewing on the nem. This is not their natural host, so this may have something to do with it.

Odd that they would start doing this after 6 years of hosting. Hopefully its a phase that will pass.

It is the "third wheel" that is doing it. He doesn't get to participate in the breeding.

I did see the peppermint shrimp lurking by the anemone this mornings, and have never seen him on that side of the tank before.
