Gem's 110 gal

Ummmmmmm.....here Kenny....read. LOL

So, while I'm waiting for the paint to dry and while Kenny's reading.....Here are my lights. 2 x 250 watt MH with 4x65 watt actinic CF and led moonlights. Correct me if I've got that wrong Kevin. I got a screamin' deal on these from Kevin. And I thank Rudy profusely for not wanting them.
Thanks Mucho again Kevin!!!
I had to test them out. It came with all new bulbs, but I still have the old ones in. I wanted to see if I could remember what Kevin told me about hooking them up and what went where! I guess I did it right. LOL

And here is the tank before paint...and my 2 Koralia 4s. :D
Thanks again Kevin Grandt for donating the tank for the raffle. And a HUGE thank you to DrDoug who gave it to me

Look at Ginger, she's a baller! Instead of using legs or mounting brackets to hang the fixture, she uses PS2's!!! ;) Why were you planning to paint the bottom anyways? Were you thinking about going Bare Bottom? Keep up the good work!

I'm going to go with a shallow sand bed...like 1 inch. But, yes.....incase I ever decide to go bare bottom.....the bottom was going to be painted as well. After the meeting last night, I wondered if having the bottom painted black would afftect the lighting. I doubt it....but I'm going to paint the top of the stand instead.

And the PS2's....empty boxes. The consoles are both in the house. Three kids and only one PS2......didn't work out in my house. LOL

LOL Kenny....yeah it is dimmer.....but I took those pics at 5:00 so I only had about 150 watts of sunlight and it was too far from the top of the tank. :D

YES!!! I am way jazzed. Gettin' there! I think I'll at least have it in the house by the beginning of November. That would be really cool....even if I can't start filling it yet! I'll keep you in mind when I need some muscle to put that sucker in the house. ;)

I was actually joking...but I will definatley need the help. Thanks...I'll take you up on that. :D

I wasn't planning on using a canopy, but had left over plywood. Just enough for a canopy actually. So, I went to HD and got 1x2's.
Here's the partially built canopy. Picture it with a door and trim. ;)

Been playin with the power tools again. :D
Almost done. Just have to finish the trim on the canopy, and the doors on the stand. Then sand and stain.
