keep it natural Ginger. Looks sweet I need to see George and finish planning out mine. How soon till water?

I think that's what I"m going to do Kyle. As for how soon till water.....It will be a couple weeks before I'm totally finished with the stand. I also still need lr and sand, as well as a skimmer and return pump. It'll be a while. Probably beginning of December at the earliest.

Haven't updated this in a while. But that was because it was put on indefinate hold. This is still gonna take me a while, but tonight I'm one step closer thanks to the hole drilling talents of Steve (funman1). I now have 3 holes in the back of my tank waiting for bulkheads. I'm going to go with the "Beananimal" overflow design. The tank is tucked back in it's corner in the garage, so no pics at the moment. Just thought I would update.

:D

WhoHooo!
Whats the next step?
:)

Dave...next step....finish the stand! Anything to do with equiptment is cash I don't have yet.

Finish....just as in seal. I need to pick up a can of Polyacrylate. Or whatever the heck it's called. Coat sand coat sand coat sand....etc.

Stain and urethane? : )
Do you want a natural woodgrain finish, except stained a certain color to semi-match your other furniture?

Not going to stain the wood. I like the natural color of the birch. Ha! If you saw my furniture.....who give a crud about matching....I'd be smarter to buy new furniture to match the stand!
So...just poly-urethane. Actually...someone suggested poly-acrylate rather than poly-urethane. so one of the two.

Well I just read through the entire thread Im thouroughly impressed what a nice setup its all turning out to be i really like the stand and canopy
