Finally got around to putting at least part of the first coat on. Got started and realized I need to get that tank out of the stand. Need a screw gun to get it out....so I didn't do the back or inside of the stand yet. Pic is kinda dark...lighting isn't too good in the garage. I only have about an hour from the time I get home to work on it before it gets too dark.
I'm hoping to have it finished by this weekend. We'll see how long it takes to dry between coats.

i applyed my clear coat with a spray,dried very fast,applyed 5 coats in 1 hour,then let in set outside for 3 days,done,very dark and thick,have fun,mike:rollface:

Come to think of it...I have a sprayer.....got a compressor....hmmmmmmm Now just need a nice day to take that sucker in the backyard and just git 'r done.

After talking to someone about how to hang my lights and my plan to not have a canopy, because mine wouldn't support the weight of the light mounted in it.....I decided it would be better to just rebuild the canopy. I was going to start from scratch, but kinda reconfigured the original. I moved the rear brace in 6 inches, and the back of the canopy then became the front. Added two 2x4's to mount the lights to. Then made an L shaped lid.

It's pretty dang sturdy!!! I just need to add the trim back on the ends. Forgot about that when I decided I was done for the day.

Also got the 55 gallon out of the stand.

When the weather warms up a bit I can finish with the polyurethane and then it will be ready to come in the house!!!

Haha Justin.....I'm working on it. Had a bit of a break due to personal issues and a little bit of being very discouraged. But.....I'm back at it. Shouldn't be long now!
