Gem's 110 gal

Well.....I have had some interesting developements. When I redid my canopy, I had bought what I thought was birch. I had it cut, and half built before I noticed that it was a completely different color and grain than the rest of the skin on my stand and canopy. It was red oak. So I called Home Depot and they were nice enough to exchange it for "birch". I had the "birch" cut (checked the tag on it....it said birch) brought that home and got the canopy together for the third time. Needless to say, the wood looked different and I talked to Home Depot and they assured me if it says birch it's birch and sometimes the color varies.
I finally got some more Polyurethane today since I took the day off to go to court. Got a couple coats on. The freakin' new plywood is definanately NOT birch. It's marked birch, but especially with the varnish on it, it looks like oak!!!!! So, I now have a nicely colored varnished birch stand and a heinz 57 canopy! FABULOUS!!! Oh well.....
Think anyone can tell the difference???? :mad2:

Got the 46 gal moved out of the spot where the 110 will go and into the kitchen. Got the biocube moved to my bedroom. And set up a 30 gal tank to hold all my coral and fish for the time being.

Still waiting on a couple things to get the 110 up. I have to build the overflow box. That's out having teeth cut into it. Thanks Ed!

Corals seem to be happy as do the fish. The temp went up in the 30 gal though. Not sure why. I need to find out what caused that. I brought the temp back down but I'm going to keep a close eye on it.
Much thanks to Barb (Auntbeez) for coming all the way up from Ione to help me move everything. I couldn't have done it without you!!! THANKS!!!!

The 46 with my live rock. Only has a flourescent light on it for now....the CF is on the frag tank.
