Generator

I have the same one. Used a couple times to run return pump, Vortechs and LEDs. Works pretty good. Planned power outage was out for 8-9 hours. Had to refill gas tank once during the entire time. Louder than a Honda but can’t beat the price.

At that price, how could you go wrong?
Honestly, I would consider something bigger, though. You'll probably regret the little generator while you sit in the dark, no A/C and everything in your fridge going bad.
Get yourself something big enough to offer you some comfort while it keeps your tank happy.
I run my tank and enough stuff to keep my family happy on a 4,000 watt generator.

I agree.

I do understand that not everyone wants to spend the bucks for a honda but after years of camping and having to replace HF gen-sets, i dropped the bucks for a honda eu3000 and never looked back. It's been serving me well for 10 years and will run my entire house if we don't turn everything on

I have been looking at generators after my third black out in one year. So basically I need one to run the fridge and a few lights. My tank will be ran by two battery systems. The Yamaha looks promising a especially like that you can physically shutoff the fuel, makes fuel management easier.

The others that I looked at are the Predator from Harbor Freight, Northern Tool and Equipment the Powerhouse 3000 inverter. Cheapos from Wal-Mart and Target as well.

^^ yamaha makes a few nice ones as well.

If you keep the fridge door closed, it will keep cool for quite a long time.
