I'll be getting my Mitras tomorrow, I'm excited! If time permits, I will hang it up the same day and post pictures! The black unit is so sleek, I'm glad that's the color I went with.

Got mine today thanks to Allen (ReefBytes). Software installed on an old windows XP machine...smooth as butter. I'm currently using the default settings as I think the program has potential.

The lights were actually smaller than I thought they would be. They are also super bright. The construction is as good as you would expect from a GHL product. Overall I am impressed with the construction and operation of the unit.

The next challenge is going to be finding a mounting solution. I don't think I want to mount all three units to ceiling. The power cord placement represents a small challenge to my original plan but I am sure I will come up with reasonable alternative.

Mathias the Mitras was worth the wait.

Got mine monday and am working on ceiling mount, had to spend some time at lowes getting a nice ceiling cover

I have a black unit as well and love it!

Well the Mitras arrived and is officially setup. A big thank you goes out to Allen at ReefBytes!

My initial impressions are very good. The fixture is super bright and much brighter than my previous LED Maxspect G2. I'm really liking the sleek profile and easy to use GHL Control Center. I was up and running in an hour.

*Now I just have to get rid of my old LED fixture ;)

@Btompkin Please share your mounting solution with us. Here is my temporary "Ghetto" mount.:artist: I may visit my acrylic guy who does incredible custom work. Still thinking through options and possible solutions.

@ReefRocker Nice tank and pics!

Is that your 67g rimless? (36" length)

Yep, that's my tank, 36"! I don't see any shadows anywhere in the tank, everything is nicely lit. I now see the back corners of my tank. :)

Let's have some sps coral shots please. I was going to buy the Maxspect Razor, but even Though this is more than twice the price this unit looks very nice; I know GHL quality as I own the GHL Profilux.

Very wise words indeed :)

A page or so back rodneyri posted a pic of one of his SPS and even commented on coloration and "budding" on that colony just from the short time he has been running his Mitras.

I'll get a pics up of the fixture I bought but I went to lowes and looked at the pendant lighting options, bought 3 candidates and brought them home to see if the would work. The one I picked was a double pendant at it almost matches the Mitras wires perfectly, about an 1/8 in or so out. Cost $20 or so.

I've pulled all the wires from fixture and googled a video on how to take Mitras power cord apart (it was very easy to take the connector part to thread through ceiling cover.)

I haven't finished mounting it but hope to this weekend

Look forward to the photos. :spin1:

I am going to get 2 units and install then this weekend. I have 2 Giesemann LED units currently and thought I would mix them with 2 GHL units. What are everyone's thoughts on this?
