Did you order the golden online or you found him at a store? I been looking for a while to get him and havent seen him any where

Wow, you waste your Rogger's Reef Food on that!!?? I like to eat mine with a little bruschetta, and save the crumbs for my fancy fish.

eddy....is all the purple on the sand coraline or do you have some cyano?

Jorge- Its like a reddish turf like algae... Id like to get rid of it BUT my fish love eating it!

Rogger- Thanks man! I made some adjustments on my lights (cranked full blast now during day setting) to see if my corals perk up. I checked the par and at about 80% the corals were getting 150-300 par on avg in the mid level of the tank. Problem was i mounted my leds too high (15" above water or so). Lets see if it improves.
 
Well, I have to vent and figure this is the perfect place...

First off I want to say that I think my apex controller is probably the best controller for the money considering all it can do for the price. I feel their technical support (Eugene in particular) does an excellent job walking you thru any issues and is very willing to help. THAT SAID, their customer support (particularly their warranty and repair service) is terrible at accomodating their customers. I reported to them that one of my modules was not working properly and after some troubleshooting they agreed. Since this module controls my pumps and lights, I cant just send it away for 1-2 weeks so I asked them for help. They agreed to send me a loaner in the next few weeks so that I can run my system while they fix my module....but when I called back 3 weeks later they didnt know what I was talking about! I was told there was nothing they could do and that I would just have to send my unit in for repair even though it powered my pumps and lights. I requested to speak with Curt, supervisor, and he never even called me back days later.

Fast forward a few days, I spoke to eisaiasjr and he has a spare he can lend me so I may have resolved my issue. This is NOT the first time Neptune leaves me hanging (last time they agreed to ship 2 day air and I got it 5 days later ups ground with an oops we r sorry o well). I truly wish there was a better company out there that actually gave a crap about its customers.
 
profilux CS especially progressive reef in particular IMHO is the best when dealing with customers.

I don't know if i got lucky or what but when dealing with them I was always impressed..

BTW the worst possible service in controllers is Aquatronica but since i run one for over 5 years i already know all their problems and between friends they are easy to deal with.

You've got some nice fish. That moorish idol is awesome. Makes me want to get a bigger tank :spin2: I really hope Neptune Systems comes thru for you. Like you said they have an awesome product. I noticed today my Apex isn't logging data. I hope the firmware update corrects that.
 
Profilux AND gareth at Progressivereef BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE for controller. After having several controllers ended up with the Profilux and all I can say is WOW.
On another note....DAMN thats a nice Black Tang
 
I have had the same bad experience with Neptune that Eddie has, regardless the APEX is the best controller on the market... so how did I fix this? I bought a spare! problem fixed!
